CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

QUALIFICATION 1. The Competition will be run in 4 qualifying rounds with the first 3 greyhounds in each heat progressing to the next round. The first round proper will be for 48 greyhounds. Should entries at the final stage exceed this number, elimination trials will be held under race conditions, prior to the first round, to reduce the race entries to 48 greyhounds.
REGISTRATION OF NAME 2. The name of the greyhound as given on the first acceptance form must be the registered name or must be the name that is eventually applied for when making an application for registration. If for any reason, the original name is not accepted for registration, correspondence must be produced to show that the name was applied for.
NOMINATOR'S SUBJECTION 3. Entries can only be made and accepted on the condition that the nominator subjects himself in all respects to the Rules of the GBGB.
RIGHT OF REFUSAL 4. The Management of the Race Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.
OWNER'S RISK 5. A Greyhound is entered at the owner's risk.
FIGHTING 6. No greyhound is eligible whose Identity Book contains any records of fighting, unless such greyhound has completed in 3 clear trials since the date of such fighting.
WITHDRAWAL 7. The fees in respect of any entry or acceptance are not returnable in any circumstances after the relative closing date. After the race entry date no greyhound may be withdrawn except by production of a Veterinary Certificate certifying that the greyhound is unfit to run.
BREEDER 8. The Breeder will be assumed to be the owner of the Dam as registered with the Greyhound Stud Book at the time of whelping of the litter, unless written authority is given by such person to the effect that another person is the Breeder.
RACE PRIZE MONEY 9. It is not possible at this stage to state the prize money. This, of course, depends, on the amount of revenue received during the acceptance stages and therefore approximate prize money will be announced at the end of March.
BREEDER'S PRIZE MONEY 10. A guaranteed £2,000 breeder's prize will be paid to the breeder of the winner and £1,000 to the breeders of the losing finalists.
TRAINER 11. Trainer of Winner to receive Trophy.
GUARDING 12.

Greyhounds in same ownership will be guarded.
(WILL NOT RUN AGAINST EACH OTHER IN EARLY ROUNDS).
